New in 2026, we’ve partnered with Rose City Writers, one of Windsor-Essex’s most active writing communities. Throughout the year we’ll be hosting workshops on a range of topics geared towards writers, taking place within River Bookshop or upstairs in the Hole in the Wall.

About the Workshop
A writing workshop for those interesting in learning the art of the short story.
Learn how to write short stories from award-winning horror novelist C.M. Forest and sci-fi specialist Ben Van Dongen. Together, this dream team is going to go over everything from initial concept creation all the way to publication. Perfect for those just starting out or experienced writers looking to hone their craft.
