Alumni Meet-Ups: The Lemon Apron Cookbook

Alumni Meet-Ups: The Lemon Apron Cookbook

Feb 24, 2023

We've recently partnered with the UWindsor Alumni Association to offer a series of monthly chats on a variety of relevant and interesting topics. The events are offered to alumni and friends, and will be held at the bookshop, as well as virtually on Zoom. You can check out the list of upcoming Alumni Meet-ups. We're very excited to tell you about the first one, coming up in March.

March's Alumni Meet-up is all about good food! We're partnering with White Woods Home this month, too, to bring you something very unique. On March 23 at 6:30 p.m. we'll be joined by Jennifer Emilson—recipe developer, cook, baker, creator of the popular and Taste Canada award–winning blog The Lemon Apron, and author of The Lemon Apron Cookbook. At this event, we welcome Jennifer back to her hometown community of Amherstburg. She will talk about her personal history with Amherstburg, share her motivation, learning, and the inspiration behind The Lemon Apron Cookbook, and present a cooking demonstration for our live audience.

Tickets are available for $36 + tax + fees on Eventbrite and include a copy of the cookbook. There are a limited number of in-person tickets available. The event is also free to watch on Zoom. If you'd like a signed book but can't attend, books can also be ordered online for $36 + tax + shipping cost (or free pick-up) on our website.

We hope to see you there for this unique book club opportunity.
