Since we opened River Bookshop, we have been a ‘go-to’ place for puzzles. Our Chief Puzzler Colleen constantly pores over the new offerings from Ravensburger, Eurographics, New York Puzzle Company, and more, resulting in our shop having the best puzzle collection in Essex County.
Cold, dark January is also the official National Puzzle Month, so what better time to kick off River Bookshop’s first ever puzzle contest? Here are the details:
When: Saturday, January 27th at 1pm … until there is a winner
Where: the Hole in the Wall event space above our shop
The competition is capped at 12 teams
Two people per team
Your puzzle has to be purchased at our bookshop, and you need to keep your receipt
The puzzle CANNOT be opened until the start of the competition
First prize is a $100 River Bookshop gift card and bragging rights for a year 
Puzzles will be for sale shortly
The puzzle is a New York Puzzle Company 500 piece puzzle and costs $31.99+. We will announce the puzzle closer to the contest date.
So what’s your strategy going to be … sort your pieces by colour? Isolate the border pieces? Or shift through pieces a handful at a time? Whatever works for you, we would love for you to participate in our first annual puzzle competition. Contact the shop now to reserve your space.
Simply email info@riverbookshop.com to sign up, and we will confirm the first 12 teams to email us. Don’t have a team? No problem! If you’re a solo puzzler, simply let us know in your email and we’ll pair you up with another solo puzzler for the contest if we can. The team of two will only be required to buy one puzzle.
Chief Puzzler Colleen will be competing, but she cannot win the prize.
