River Bookshop is grounded in our community, which is full of talented writers and illustrators, from Amherstburg to other parts of Windsor Essex County. And we love to support and celebrate these talented people. We really wanted to find a new forum to show our appreciation, and that's why we're happy to announce that we are holding our first Local Author Fair.
On the weekend of February 25th and 26th we are bringing in 20 of our local authors for a free admission event. Between noon and 4pm each day, upstairs above the bookshop, you will be able to meet some local talent, talk to them about their writing, buy their books, and even have your new book signed. Plus, on Sunday, three of the authors will be reading their books to our littlest readers at our weekly Story Time at 1pm. Our guest readers are Duncan Lam, Jane Ripley, and Amy Soucie!
