FROM WARBLERS TO TREE FROGS AND COYOTES ….FILMING WILDLIFE IN THE OJIBWAY PRAIRIE COMPLEX

FROM WARBLERS TO TREE FROGS AND COYOTES ….FILMING WILDLIFE IN THE OJIBWAY PRAIRIE COMPLEX

Jul 17, 2022

Back during the winter we had author Marty Gervais present his beautiful book “ Walk in the Woods: Portrait of the Ojibway Prairie Complex”. Followed a few days later by a snowy walk through Ojbway with a number of keen bookshop readers.

Well. we are back! The Ojibway park is so beautiful… so interesting … so full of delightful surprises we are very pleased to host CBC photographer, and documentary film maker Michael
Evans to present his work over four seasons. When the pandemic hit Mike took his love of nature and wildlife to the next level, devoting an entire year to producing a documentary film
entitled “A Year in the Forest”. He spent hundreds of hours in the field and forest documenting hundreds of species of wildlife, some of them critically endangered; and others previously thought extinct from the region.

On July 28 at 6:30 Mike will present photos of work and show some brief scenes from his new film. I have had a chance to see Mike’s work … you don’t want to miss this special evening!
