Did you know that they have a new Mayor named Cathy Miller?
Did you know that she will be presenting at the River Bookshop as part of our Alumni Meet-Ups series, in partnership with the University of Windsor Alumni Association?
Well, all of the above is true. Mayor Cathy received incredibly strong support (86% of the votes) for an agenda that focuses on quality of life issues and championing regenerative tourism for the benefit of residents, the island, and Lake Erie. Her talk will focus on the curiosities of the other ‘Pelee’ and why the right kind of tourism is a game changer. After seeing her talk we are confident you will want to catch one of the Pelee Island ferries that leave from Leamington every day.
This talk is free to attend and is for alumni, friends, and our entire community.
April 19 at 6:30 pm at the River Bookshop (67 Richmond Street).
The talk will be live in our Hole in the Wall event space. Our building is a restored heritage-designated building constructed in 1885, so the space is not accessible, but to accommodate people who can’t attend, it will be available to watch on Zoom.
