Spring is in the air! The sun has been shining, birds have been singing and we are all out and about more. The River Bookshop is awaking from our winter slumber too with these UPCOMING EVENTS!

Senior Savings Day - Tuesday March 22

Senior Savings Tuesday! Every Tuesday in March we’ll be offering 10% off in-store purchases for seniors (60+) so come on in, browse, have a seat by the fire. It's the perfect opportunity to try a new author, get that book you've been hearing so much about, branch out into a new interest. We look forward to hosting you!

Walk in the Woods Reading and Book Signing - Thursday March 24 - 7pm

Windsor’s first Poet Laureate, University of Windsor professor, publisher of Black Moss Press, photographer and author Marty Gervais will be visiting us to speak on his newest endeavour - Walk in the Woods: Portrait of the Ojibway Prairie Complex. Gervais teamed up with Windsor's Poet Laureate Mary Ann Mulhern, and the city's Youth Poet Laureate Alexei Ungurenasu to celebrate this rich environmental treasure in southwestern Ontario. Purchase of Walk in the Woods gains you access to the reading and book signing on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7pm followed by a walking tour of Ojibway on Saturday March 26th at 1:00pm.

Reserve your spot by emailing info@riverbookshop.com. Zoom invites are also available for the Thursday night reading.

Don’t forget our book clubs the last Tuesday of every month. Because we are still popping up White Woods Home in our Hole in the Wall space our bookclubs will be virtual in March and April. March 29th we will be discussing The Spoon Stealer by Lesley Crewe and on April 26th we will focus on Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez. Both books were Canada Reads contenders so be prepared for a great read each month. Let us know if you’d like to be added to the Zoom invite list by emailing info@riverbookshop.com
