Story Time Newsletter—Politics & Remembrance Day

“Alone, we can do so little; Together, we can do so much.” —Helen Keller

On Sunday, October 30th, we were so lucky to have local singer and actress Rebecca Mickle deliver a wonderfully spirited Halloween reading. Her costume was perfectly pink and her silly reading voices were spot on! We hope to have her back soon.

This coming Sunday, November 6th, we are excited to have Taras Natyshak, longtime member of Provincial Parliament and labour activist, as our story time reader. His reading will reflect his time in politics as well as his interest in creating opportunities for health and wellness in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

On November 13th, in honour of Remembrance Day, we will have Stephanie Pouget, curator of the Park House Museum, as our story time reader. Stephanie will use her extensive knowledge of local history to give a new perspective on this very important day of remembrance. This reading is sure to be interesting and informative for both young and old.

Take care of one another,
