We have had a busy couple of weeks at the bookshop, and we have an entertaining roster of events still to come!
On July 10th, Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Dan Monk blew the crowd away with his impressive reading skills, fascinating fire safety facts, and terrific fire engine tour. We were so glad to see all the smiling faces after his story time.

In honour of Amherstburg’s 16th annual Gone Car Crazy show, Lauren’s story time on July 24th featured various car and truck-themed stories that the audience loved! We all had a ZOOMing good time.

At River Bookshop, we take pride in highlighting the rich history of Amherstburg and the incredible achievements of our local communities. Freedom Museum volunteer and CTV News Windsor Meteorologist Gary Archibald will be our celebrity reader Sunday, July 31st at 1pm in honour of Emancipation Day 2022. He will be reading books that celebrate the Black community.
