The magic of books is alive and well at the River Bookshop. It might be cold, windy, and wet outside, but it's always cozy, warm, and sunny inside the bookshop.

Stop in and say hi to the River Bookshop booksellers on your next trip around the block. Our store is not just a place to shop for books and stuffies. We invite you to take a second and warm up by the fire. Say hello and talk books with us for a minute or two!

Our Youth Book Clubs meet this week!

If you have a Middle Schooler or Teen interested in reading great stories, and meeting new friends, we would love to invite them to join one of our book clubs.

Our Junior Club, for 8-12 year olds, meets Saturday, February 22nd at 2 PM.

Our Teen Book Club, for 13-16 year olds, meets Monday, February 24th at 6:30 PM.

For more information about joining our Youth Book Clubs, email us at info@riverbookshop.com and we'll be happy to tell you more.

Do you play hockey or have a favourite hockey team?

Join Bookseller Natalie for a Story Time about our favourite winter sport. Natalie will share some hockey-themed stories, and she invites you to join her in wearing your favourite Hockey Jersey too. Join us this Sunday, February 23rd at 11AM for Story Time!

If you've been in the shop this month you might have seen this incredible photograph of Muhammad Ali featured above the fireplace. Ali was not only a celebrated athlete and global cultural figure, but a social justice and civil rights icon. This month, during Black History Month, we are celebrating his legacy.

That's why our new weekly special features these three great titles about Ali, including one for kids. Click here to see the titles and learn more about them or check them out in store.

"Ali changed the fight game, and he impacted life as we know it today, race relations, [and] respect for the individual."
