AND THAT'S A WRAP!!!
The 2025 Amherstburg Art Crawl is over and as promised it was bigger, better, and longer than ever before!
Over 40 local artists, volunteers, the Art Amherstburg Society Board, the town’s Tourism Department, and our important sponsors made this year's Art Crawl happen. EverJonge Homes, Sobeys, Amherstburg GM, Hotel STRY, and the Dan Gemus Real Estate team provided the funds to allow us to create new murals, musical performances, and completely FREE events on Saturday and Sunday.
Each year we worry about the weather, and history tells us that we have a 37% chance of rain on the weekend. Thankfully we dodged a bullet again this year and only had to make one minor adjustment. Thanks to all who came out!

HIGHLIGHTS
-
FRIDAY: Night Art Crawl Social at Hotel STRY, Artists of Colour exhibit, and entertainment by
Trading Places 5-piece band. -
SATURDAY: Sobeys Art Crawl unleashed ten destinations across the town, unveiled three new murals in Art Alley, and introduced the six winners of the children’s art contest. The team at River Bookshop sure has their favourite (Pearl Renaud's drawing of the bookshop, pictured above). During the day,
artists were in the park and on the streets. The Dan Gemus Real Estate Team covered the cost of Bishop Boys packing Hotel STRY at night. -
SUNDAY:
Artists were still all over downtown sharing their art. Over 300 parents and children enjoyed free music (WSO Youth Orchestra), dance (Rivertown Dance Academy), games, painting, all sponsored by Amherstburg GM. BOO to the town councillor who complained to the police about the use of the ICON cart that will soon be allowed on our streets. And then it all came to a close in the King's Navy Yard Park, where a record 484 enjoyed the WSO Brass Quintet. Thanks to all the many residents and visitors who came out to enjoy Amherstburg’s creative and active streets.
