IT'S A WRAP!

After a summer of entertaining, Open Air Weekends are over for another year. One of Ontario’s greatest summer festivals might be over, but Amherstburg is just getting started!

A growing number of unique local shops, an expanding art scene (over 30 murals and reproductions), fine dining, and the constant beauty of our town’s heritage buildings are still yours to discover and enjoy.

Calling all Junior Book Club Members!

Our next meet up is this Saturday. Join us Saturday, September 7th at 2pm. Once again this was a "Take your pick, or read them both" month, so we will be talking about two books! Join us for this double feature chat followed by a fun activity.

If you don't have the books yet, stop into the shop today! 15% off for our Junior Book Club members. If you're not a member yet, simply email us or ask at the desk!

Arms Bumanlag, former CBC News anchor and now local realtor, will be our guest reader this Sunday at 11AM for Story Time. As a father of two young children, Arms and his family were heading back to school this week, just like so many other families.

Join Arms at River Bookshop this Sunday to hear stories about going back to school, featuring some of Arms's family's favourite characters. We hope to see you at our Children's Nook!

Evelyn's Candy House is excited to announce the launch of their fabulously sweet NEW Website! https://evelynscandyhouse.ca Sweeten every day with Evelyn’s house-made treats!

Try ordering your favourites online and explore the large selection of handcrafted and custom-made candies.

Did you know that Evelyn’s specializes in custom branding for private and corporate events? They love working with you to create tasty ways to sweeten your next special occasion.

Calling all local artisans! The Gibson Gallery is looking for vendors that specialize in handmade goods.

The Gibson Gallery is holding their next Outdoor Pop-up Market on Sunday, October 6th, from 11AM to 4PM. Applications can be found on their website: www.gibsongallery.org

Hurry, as spots will fill up fast!

Story Time is moving back indoors to the Children's Nook! We will miss our Story Time tent in the streets outside of the bookshop, but when the weather is nice, you can still find us outside in the Art Alley.

So much to see and do in Amherstburg!

We hope to see you in the streets this weekend.
