"HEALTHY CITIZENS ARE THE GREATEST ASSET ANY COUNTRY CAN HAVE"

—WINSTON CHURCHILL

Community recreation centres are key to a healthy town. They improve physical and mental health, enhance community cohesion and social bonding, and can increase accessibility and inclusion. The Libro Credit Union Centre in Amherstburg definitely delivers on all that.

Here’s what it has to offer:

    🏒 Two NHL-sized ice pads

🏃♀️ Indoor walking and running track

⚾️ Premier lit baseball diamond, a Miracle League diamond designed especially for children using wheelchairs or walkers

    ⚽️ 19 soccer pitches

🏓 Indoor and outdoor pickleball courts

🚲 Cross country running and mountain bike trails

   🐶 Fenced dog parks

WHAT MAKES AMHERSTBURG GREAT

Operating all of this costs money. Public facilities like Libro ALWAYS  cost money—they are very seldom moneymakers. The town’s ROI (return on investment) is healthier and happier for citizens of all ages!

Next week we’re all about Amherstburg’s largest annual arts event: Art by the River 🖼️
