WHO KNEW BENCHES WERE SO IMPORTANT?

Benches on sidewalks are important because they support the well-being of our community by providing places to rest, fostering social connections, and encouraging people to spend more time outdoors.

They make our public spaces more accessible and welcoming for everyone, including seniors and individuals with mobility challenges (the location of our bench is ADA compliant). They allow people to rest while walking and engage more comfortably with their surroundings.

So if you're walking by River Bookshop and need a short rest, or waiting for someone shopping inside...PLEASE have a seat on our charming bench. It complements our heritage building beautifully.
