Night Markets on Fridays, bagpipe parades on select Saturdays, free yoga in the park on Sundays, and of course our local shopping, restaurant patios, and live entertainment!
River Bookshop is celebrating Canada Day all weekend long. Stop into the bookshop to cool off on your trip down the strip, and check out our local author section and our selection of books about Canada. We have books about Amherstburg, Essex County, Ontario, and Canada, plus puzzles, too!
The first River Bookshop Kids Summer Reading Challenge is here. Welcoming all preschool, elementary, and high school readers! Read 8 books this summer for your chance to win a $50 gift card and more! Plus, for every book purchased at River Bookshop and recorded in your journal, an additional ballot with your name will be entered into the draw. We are honoured to have the Deputy Mayor of Amherstburg, Chris Gibb, joining us to share some stories and information about Canada with all of you. Join the fun this Sunday at 11 AM for our special Canada-themed story time.
