Weekly Buzz Newsletter: Final Open Air

Weekly Buzz Newsletter: Final Open Air

Aug 28, 2024

It's the last Open Air Weekend of the year! This year has been the best Open Air festival ever, and you do not want to miss the finale.

Recently awarded “Best Street Festival“ at the Best of Windsor Essex Awards, and “The Most Wonderful Event of the Year” at the Biz X Awards.

Get ready to groove to a diverse lineup of tunes at Amherst Palooza!

Join us on the last Saturday of Open Air, August 31, from 12PM to 7PM in the downtown core for an unforgettable music event. Experience the talent of local musicians from various genres as they take our downtown stage located at the Clock Tower (Richmond & Dalhousie Streets).

Best of all, it’s FREE for everyone to attend.

Things will soon start to cool down, making fall the perfect time to get back into book club. And we've got some exciting news! In September, we are partnering with SFLC's GINDAASDAA for a special Books in the 'Burg. Pick up your copy of Me Tomorrow: Indigenous Views on the Future, and join us for this book club meet up.

We'll be meeting on on Tuesday, September 24th, at 7pm at River Bookshop (and on Zoom). The book is available for 15% off for members. If you'd like to join the club, email or visit us in store.

Open Air Weekends may be coming to a close, but Sunday Story Time at 11AM at River Bookshop continues all year round.

The radio station is joining us this week for Story Time. On Air personality Spencer Duby, from CKBG, will join us to share what it's like working in radio and to read some stories.

Friday Night Market sponsored by Libro Credit Union. The market of this week runs from 5PM to 9PM on Friday, August 30th, in the downtown along Richmond, Dalhousie, and Murray Streets.
