Stephen's work crosses many genres, styles, and media. Some works convey a message, while others are merely whimsical, or appreciative of beauty or a bizarre sense of aesthetics. Huge thank you to Nadine Draper for joining us as our guest reader from all our friends at River Bookshop. Our Story Time families enjoyed the last weekend of Open Air, and we look forward to continuing our Story Time Sundays. Meet us in the Art Alley when the weather is nice, and in the Children's Nook when it's cold or rainy.

So much to see and do in Amherstburg!

We hope to see you downtown this weekend.

The River Bookshop Team

We also want to take a moment to recognize a great man as we close out the newsletter today.

The Face and Voice of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra has passed away.

Today we are very sad because of the passing of a good friend, Maestro Robert Franz. He was an enthusiastic supporter of our bookshop (Sunday Story Time reader), the Amherstburg Freedom Museum (Black History Month), and the town of Amherstburg (numerous annual concerts). We will greatly miss him.

There are very special people in our lives who never leave us … even after they are gone.
