Jun 13, 2024

Open Air Weekends are back! Recently awarded “Best Street Festival“ at the Best of Windsor Essex Awards, and “The Most Wonderful Event of the Year” at the Biz X Awards.

Night Markets on Fridays, bagpipe parades on select Saturdays, free yoga in the park on Sundays, and of course our local shopping, restaurant patios, and live entertainment!

IT'S BAAACK!!!!!

The Dan Gemus Real Estate Team is bringing back the Amherstburg Ribfest! The last Ribfest in town was in 2019. They are excited to bring this back for the community this Father's Day weekend (June 14, 15 and 16) in Downtown Amherstburg.

Ribbers will be open Friday and Saturday from 11am-11pm, and Sunday from 11am-7pm. The ribbers along with other food vendors will be lined up down Ramsay St. between Richmond and Murray. Other participating downtown businesses include Musicland, Downtown Espresso Cafe, Lot 10 Brewing Company, and White Woods Home.

This is a Free Event, and this event is not funded by the taxpayer. This event is being brought to you by The Dan Gemus Real Estate Team along with The Richmond Popcorn Co. and CJ Bondy Plumbing.

Are you heading downtown this weekend for Ribfest? Stop into River Bookshop. We have gifts perfect for dad! Visit our display of puzzles, books, Jellycat stuffies, greeting cards, and more.

We have items you won't find anywhere else, like our Metalbirds, Boblo puzzles, sporty jellies, and our Essex County themed playing cards. Plus, we have gift cards for all occasions.

Save the date! Join Richard Peddie and Lloyd Alter at Art Windsor-Essex for a conversation about community building, growth and sustainability.

We will be on site selling copies of Lloyd Alter’s books: Living the 1.5 Degree Lifestyle (2021), and The Story of Upfront Carbon (2024), as well as Richard Peddie’s new book, Great Small Towns of Ontario (2024), and his 21 Leadership Lessons (2015).
