THE CURSED QUEEN'S DAUGHTER BY ELLY BLAKE
We're so proud to have been the host for the launch of The Cursed Queen's Daughter, the second book in Elly Blake's Thirstwood series. This is a companion book to The Forest King's Daughter—a connected story that can also be read on its own. We highly suggest this to fantasy readers (and romantasy readers!) who also want to read something by a local author—Elly is in Harrow!
What a great night it was! We have all of Elly's Frostblood saga and Thirstwood series books in stock. We're also offering the hardcover of book one, The Forest King's Daughter, at paperback price! If you haven't read book one yet and want to start there, now is a great time to pick up matching hardcovers and save a bit of money. (We do also have book one in paperback, if you prefer that!)

Plus, did you know that Heated Rivalry was a book first? And that the author (Rachel Reid) is Canadian? We have the books in stock, so visit us to get yours now—and enjoy the perfect read for Valentine's Day. ![]()

WHAT MAKE AMHERSTBURG GREAT: À LA MODE
It’s definitely not an ice cream shop! As per the French dictionary à la Mode means “in fashion .. stylish,” and for 26 years Natalia
and her team have offered the very latest in women’s fashions at her shop on Richmond Street.

When COVID hit, Natalia had to close her shop, but did something that is paying dividends to this day: she created a Facebook series (facebook.com/
Amherstburg is fortunate that À la Mode has been a successful local shop, because shopping local is very good for our community. Shopping local strengthens a community by keeping money circulating within the local economy, as approximately $0.68 of every dollar spent stays in the community. Local businesses create jobs and foster a unique community character.
Local shops definitely help make Amherstburg great. Over the course of this series we will introduce you to fourteen local businesses. We hope you support them, because …
