We are delighted to be opening our Hole in the Wall once again to host our Christmas Market starting Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20—then running every weekend until Christmas.
Each year our product line-up gets better and better. This year we are adding Evelyn’s Candy House to the market: the county’s best selection of sweetness from around the world.
White Woods Home is back displaying beautifully designed cookware and tableware—perfect to enhance holiday gatherings of friends and family. Or a special gift for that special someone.
The River Bookshop has loaded up on all the bestsellers, the county’s best selection of puzzles, toys from Jellycat & Crocodile Creek, journals from Shinola and much much more.
In addition to a great selection of gifts we will have some special guests during our market weekends:
Saturday, November 19, meet author Meg Reiner and have her personally sign a copy of her new book Heritage Buildings of Amherstburg. This beautiful hardcover book will be the number one holiday present for people who live in Amherstburg, used to live in Amherstburg or who wish they lived in Amherstburg, after seeing the book.
Saturday, December 3, 1-3pm, we are delighted to have the Grinch visiting us again. Still a loveable character years after his bestselling How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Don’t miss having the kids get their picture taken with this engaging green villain.
Sunday, December 4, 1-3pm, Meg Reiner will be back to sign books just in case you missed her on the 19th or you realize that you still need another special gift.
Saturday, December 10, 1-3pm, local author André Narbonne will be signing books in the market. His novel Lucien & Olivia was longlisted for the 2022 Giller Prize! Also on this day, between 1-3pm we will have the Windsor Essex Carollers singing Christmas songs around all the shops that make up the magical corner of Richmond and Ramsay.
Sunday, December 11, 1:30-3:30pm. What would make Christmas shopping with the kids even more fun? A chance to meet and take a photo with Santa (aka Kris Kringle). Santa will be talking to kids and giving Evelyn’s candy to the good little girls and boys.
There is a lot going on in Amherstburg this holiday season. What better time to shop local and support local? Won’t a nice visit to our heritage downtown core be better than battling a massive mall parking lot? We definitely think so.
Happy Holidays from all the staff at:
