Siblings Jacob and Ava live pretty average lives in the suburbs. But one seemingly normal afternoon, everything changes. After a strange encounter with a neighbor, Jacob and Ava begin to notice that everyone around them, including their parents, seems to be acting differently—everyone, that is, except their friends Alex and Noah.
