In 2009, a group of concerned citizens in Amherstburg formed a lobby group whose aim was to save the historic Belle Vue. Today, the group is known as the Belle Vue Conservancy. Debra's contribution has been to research the lives that touched Belle Vue and to explain the importance of this building to the history of Amherstburg. Her husband, Robert Honor, has researched the architectural changes over the years. Hopefully these efforts contribute to the preservation of the Belle Vue house in some public capacity for everyone to enjoy.
